Peace out and Merry Christmas (or any other religious holiday you may celibrate)! FYI: JLE is not broken up. We are not playing together at the moment due to the fact that Lee is busy finishing school in Ireland. JLE will be back to a punk venue near you in June 2002. Be patient, it will be worth the wait. Mon. 8/20/01: Well, it's been an amazing ride but now it has to end. I'd like to thank everyone who has supported us by doing anything to positively effect us. I would like to send an extra huge thanks to Donna Peterman for all she has done for the band such as giving us soooooo many loans for new equipment, driving to daddy's like 10 times a day and letting us practice almost every day in her basement. I would also like to thank all the other parents for driving us to show after show and chris for helping us reproduce piggy bank. Don't let the music die, pick up a free copy or download or songs from mp3.com. Oh yeah and one thing: THIS IS NOT THE END! All I'm saying is : summer 2002. I love you all and I'll miss you as much as the scene. See you next year. Lee. Wed. 8/15/01: JLE may die but the music will not! The live album "Piggy Bank" will now be available for free to anyone who wants it! Fuck money, we just want you all to hear and love the music that we worked so hard on. Go to the show on Saturday. Tues. 8/14/01: Screw the Londonderry Town Common shit! JLE's next show will be at the Cafe Eclipse on Saturday. Sun. 8/12/01: Sad News: As of August 21st 2001, Just Like Everyone will be no more. Lee is being forced (against his will) to move to Ireland with his family. However, JLE will try to go out with a bang! Come see us play live at the Londonderry Town Common on Saturday August 18th and we will try to squeeze in as many shows as possible before the 21st. Check back frequently for further info. Tues. 7/24/01: Everything is right with the world. Friday night: JLE are recording their first live album and headlining their first show! We will be premiering 3 new songs: "R.E.D.", "Down the Street" and "Noobie". The album will be $5 (probably), will contain 11 songs (probably) and will be available at shows or from Lee if you see him around with his backpack. He's hard to miss, he's got green hair and an awesome belt with stars on it! Be at the Sad Cafe, doors open at 6.00pm. Saturday night: Blink 182, a New Found Glory and the Alkaline Trio at Suffolk Downs! Wooooooooo! JLE will be there, will you??? Sat. 7/07/01: Hey guys and girls. We had a totally awesome show last night with the Random Gazeboz, Alli with an I and Prom Nite. It was a lot of fun, me and Mike both ripped our pants but it's all good. We played the songs "All the Time", "Not the Average Girl" and "883-0889 (Call Me)" for the first time and they totally rocked! All in all, I think it was the most fun I've ever had at a show. See you all soon. Our next show is booked at the Sad Cafe on the 27th but keep checking back to the shows page for new dates! Sat. 6/30/01: What's up everyone? Come see us live at the Cafe Eclipse in Concord, NH next Friday, July 6th with the Random GazeboZ! Later. Wed. 6/27/01: Hey everybody, what's up? After a long, somewhat accidental break JLE are back!!! Now calm down. I know you're excited but we don't want you to hurt yourself. Anyway, We have not wasted our time over this little break. We have written new songs, made neccessary alterations to our exsiting ones, and somehow we actually found a way to become more sexy! Well, we will be playing at the Cafe Eclipse on July 6th, The Sad Cafe on July 27th, at a horse riding farm on some day in July and possibly at a birthday party around the middle of July. No August shows have been booked yet. I will put all shows on the shows section as soon as they are definate. So . . . WHO'S LOOKING FORWARD TO THE WARPED TOUR!?!?! AWWWWWWWWW YEAH!!! If you haven't already got a ticket pick one up here coz it's gonna rock! Later everyone! Thurs. 6/21/01: What's up everyone? Sorry I haven't written in a while. We haven't practiced for a week because of finals but now finals are over and we've got plenty of time for practice and stuff. Hopefully we'll be playing shows again in the next week or two. Later. Wed. 6/13/01: Hey everyone. The new site design is up and the site looks damn cool so give it a 10 on the homepage! I e-mailed the bands McFly and 5 Card Stud today in hopes of setting up a totally kick ass punk, ska show! We should have more details on that soon. Also, if anyone has cool pics for our misc page e-mail them to me and I'll put 'em up (if they're not porn). Our demo is still in the planning stage. It'll probably include All the Time, 883-0889, Funny, Down the Street, Whatever She Says, You Tell Me, Not the Average Girl and Chinese Food. . .Bitchin'! .If anyone knows of good, cheap places to record e-mail me. Fri. 6/1/01: Help me! I've been kidnapped and taken to Canada! And tomorrow, I have to go to a wedding! Noooooooooooo! So anyway, JLE have been writitng and practicing new songs and pretty much just becoming a better band. Also, you can look forward to new punker versions of Funny and possibly Chinese Food. As I really don't have much to say. . . .Goodbye. Sat. 5/26/01: Hey. What's going on? The Amnesty show was great today, we were upset to not play it. I wrote 3 new songs in the last 2 days, "Not the Average Girl" which is NOT an emo song, "Down the Street" and another song that is currently without lyrics. These songs are of a higher quality than some songs we've been writing and if I keep this up, we may have an entire new set. We are planning a demo but we seem to be having financial problems. We have about $100 but we need another $50. Please help us out by buying JLE and RandoM GazeboZ stuff and ignoring it if you catch us stealing from your house. Later. Thurs. 5/24/01: Yo yo yo yo yo! We had a lot of fun at the NHS show on Tuesday night. Too bad my mic kept crapping out and Mike's snare jumped of its stand in the middle of Sweet Dreams but oh well, who cares? Thanx to everyone for buying our patches and stickers. It'll help us get money to record our demo. Be sure to check out our merch link, we'll have shirts soon but for now please buy our patches and stickers. JLE has no shows booked for the next few weeks so we're gonna work on some new songs and play any last minute shows that come up. Our new 20 second song, 883-0889 (Call Me), is up on the lyrics page now so check it out. Thanx to Jon from McFly for saying I was the punkest guy at the show on Tuesday! PUNK ROCK BABY! Later. Sat. 5/19/01: Sup my peeps? We played for a ton of grandmas at a church variety show tonight. It was pretty different to our normal shows. We were followed by step dancers. Anyway, I hope to see everybody at the NHS show on Tuesday. It's gonna be good so be there! Wed. 5/16/01: Hey everyone, you gotta check out the Random Gazeboz first CD "We Sound Better Live". It's $5 at Random Gazeboz and JLE shows or you can E-mail Lee or Mike to order it (for those who don't know, Lee plays bass for them and Mike plays guitar and sings). Also, Cool Hands Luke have been replaced in the NHS show by Figure 6 and After the Fall are still in. I am now going to get my hair cut so you can all look forward to spikey white and pink instead of braided black and pink. You should all look out for the new song "Billy" about Robet Cannon, one of my best friends from home (Ireland, if you don't know me), at our next shows but it's really hard so go easy on us if we mess up! Later, Lee. Sat. 5/12/01: So I guess After the Fall and Cool Hands Luke dropped out of the NHS show which sucks ass but hopefully we can replace them in the line up and still have a kick ass show. In addition, I'm still looking for a good brand of picks. Later. Tues. 5/8/01: 'Sup everybody? We had an audition for the show at NHS today and we got in. I wanna see you all there supporting the almighty JLE! We will be playing with Cool Hands Luke, McFly, Nondescript and a couple of other bands. It'll be a great night of music. I also put cool new stickers on my guitar! It now represents all the major food groups: SPAM, cherries and cream, McDonald's, Oreo cookies and Cherry Coke. Tasty! I also fixed the site so you all should be able to see the pics now! Can somebody recommend a brand of picks that doesn't wear down in 5 minutes? I went through 4 picks in 3 songs today and it wasn't cool. E-mail me and help me out. On a final note, SOPHOMORE TESTING SUCKS!!!!!!!! later, Lee. Sat. 5/5/01: Hey, what's up everyone? We had a great show last might with our brother band the RandoM GazeboZ at the Cafe Eclipse. Both bands played awesome, unfortunately there were very few people there to see it but hopefully it will lead to another show at Drifters. We had a great time last time we played there and next time should be better as it won't be our first show. We have a try-out on Tuesday for a show at Nashua High School which we really, really wanna play. We are also lookng for possible brass players for the band. If you are intersted and in the Nashua area you should E-mail Lee. I hope you like the new site! I will be updating it regularly so keep checking back for new features, lyrics, pics, etc. and be sure to sign the guestbook and take the polls! Later, Lee. |
